Neat Image Pro
Reduce digital photo noise and grain
One of the problems digital photographers
face at some stage is digital photo noise. Photo noise is
like a fine grain over the photograph which reduces
the visual quality of the photo. This is usually
caused by shooting with hi ISO settings long exposures and
taking photos with reduced light. Noise can also
be produced by film and flat bed scanners.
Although there are many programs on the web
today that reduces digital noise and some do a good job as
well. I came across a program called Neat
Image a few years ago and I
was so impressed by this piece of software and its support I
am still using it today and here is why.
Neat Image uses the most advanced noise
reduction algorithms in the industry. Neat image produces and
uses device noise profiles to adapt noise reduction to imaging
devices. which means the program can be custom
tailored to your particular camera or scanner. Most of
these profiles have already been produced by the neat image
user community and can be downloaded and used for
FREE from the Neat Image
Site.
You can download a FREE restricted version of
neat image and try it out yourself. You can also buy different
versions of neat image from the home addition to the Pro +
edition which ever suits your needs. But once you buy the
version of your choice you get FREE upgrades
for life. That is also why I recommend this product its
not buy and forget. The team at Neat image keeps its
software and profiles updated regularly to keep up with the
changing trends in the digital capture world.
